In the heart of the countryside, in one of the oldest hamlets of the municipality of Oirschot, you will find the nostalgic Buitengoed De Bollen. At this beautiful spot with sweeping views, you can experience the atmosphere of the countryside and enjoy the tranquility that nature has to offer. \n\t\t\tA place of historical value\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t

Buitengoed De Bollen is situated opposite the St. Anthony Chapel in the beautiful, centuries-old hamlet of Straten, in the rural area of the municipality of Oirschot. For centuries, the core of the hamlet of Straten has consisted of a small square upon which the present-day St. Anthony Chapel was built in 1853. It has the typical form of an agricultural village from earlier times, namely with the farmhouses arranged around a triangular, grass-covered square (which was called a 'plaatse'). Behind the farmhouses lay the lower-lying lands used for arable farming. The form of this agricultural village, as well as the buildings, has remained reasonably intact and is therefore of great historical value. This is also why the core of the hamlet of Straten has been designated a Protected Village View by the government since 1992.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"Site\n\t\t

\n\t\t\tMonument in nature\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"Green\n\t

The municipality of Oirschot, situated in the triangle of Eindhoven, Tilburg, and 's-Hertogenbosch, can rightly call itself a 'Monument in the Green'. In addition to its monumental town center, the municipality of Oirschot also boasts a rich cultural history in its church villages of Oost-, West-, and Middelbeers and Spoordonk, featuring authentic 18th-century buildings.e<\/sup> in 19e<\/sup>and 19th century farmhouses in its parishes Oost- West- en Middelbeers and Spoordonk.<\/p>\n

The municipality has more than 300 well-preserved monumental buildings, 2 protected village sites and no less than 11 beautiful nature reserves.<\/p>\n

Buitengoed De Bollen borders the beautiful Groene Woud and is therefore also a gateway to the unique nature areas of De Mortelen, De Kampina and the Oirschotse Heide. The ideal starting and ending point for a hike or cycling tour. Buitengoed De Bollen is situated on a rural connecting road right next to various ANWB and VVV cycling routes, the De Kempen cycling route network and the Oirschot hiking route network.<\/p>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\tCycling and hiking route network\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t

The cycling and hiking route network allows you to determine your own route and the number of kilometres you want to cycle or hike using its nodes. The Kempenland and Het Groene Woud cycling route networks also have nodes in Oirschot. Buitengoed De Bollen is located between nodes 13 and 14. No. 49 of the hiking route network also borders Buitengoed De Bollen.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"Walking-cycling-Brabant-family\"\n\t\t
