On 19 September 2021, over 500 visitors enjoyed delicious Brabantian conviviality at the first edition of the Brabants Liedjes Festival. This year, we are continuing under a new name: the Mei Muziek Festival. Listen and dance on 15 May 2022 with a refreshing drink to cheerful tunes and jolly music.<\/p>\n

Children can have a fantastic time bouncing on the bouncy castle and eating delicious poffertjes from the poffertjes stand. In short: a fun day out for the whole family!<\/p>\n

The rock band played a repertoire from the 60s and 70s.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe Buttshakers Show\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

The Buttshakers Show<\/a> consists of four men who have been travelling the country together for years, performing their Dutch pop, steeped in American rock and roll and heavy guitars. Their swinging sets, with occasional serious ballads, ensure a cracker of an evening or afternoon full of uptempo tracks. Songs by Dire Straits, Roy Orbison, Klein Orkest, De Dijk, and Bruce Springsteen colour their versatile sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The virtuoso guitar playing is alternated with thumping bass lines, supported by heavy drums and bluesy blues harp sessions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The band plays in cafes, packed venues and festivals through their interaction with the audience and their fun with each other.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"The\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"Nol\n

\n\t\tNo Haven's (VOF de Kunst)\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Sorry<\/a>, known from VOF de Kunst, sings and plays songs from his own repertoire and performs a number of songs that have been important to him. He's been through a lot and has a lot to tell.<\/p>\n

In \u2018Suzanne voorbij\u2019 you'll be taken through 38 years of VOF de Kunst. Memories and familiarity. His best songs, his good and also difficult times. With two feet back on the ground after the passing of his wife, his parents, his sister and his best friend. It brought many changes and grief. And what did he, as a down-to-earth Brabander, think of that success? <\/p>\n

He will tell you all about it and you may ask questions about life and songs, and you may sing along if you feel the urge. Nol with his guitar alone on a stage... his personal story.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tBj\u00f6rn van der Doelen\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Former professional footballer Bj\u00f6rn van der Doelen<\/a> (PSV, Standaard Luik, FC Twente en NEC Nijmegen) stopte nog voor z’n 30ste met voetballen om oa muziek te gaan maken. Inmiddels is hij gepokt en gemazeld en na het uitkomen van z’n laatste album “Na ons de zondvloed” alweer zes albums verder.<\/p>\n

Een theatertour met Karin Bruers en Henk van Straten (2014), een clubtour als voorprogramma van Guus Meeuwis (2016) , een theatertour met z’n band de huursoldaten (2017 en 2019) en een paar honderd optredens (sinds 2007) in grote en verrekt kleine zaaltjes, theaters, huiskamers en op festivals hebben er voor gezorgd dat van der Doelen inmiddels uiterst comfortabel op het podium staat. Een karakter waarbij de glimlach nooit ver weg is. Die een verhaal kan vertellen. Geen po\u00ebtisch gelul maar ware woorden.<\/p>\n

Van der Doelen likes to hold up a mirror to his listeners through his genuine, heartfelt, sometimes slightly uncomfortable, but above all, incredibly honest stories.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tArti Academy\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Arti Academy<\/a> The Oirschot ensemble is intended to teach ensemble playing. Making music is even more fun when you can do it together! Musicians taking lessons (wind and percussion instruments) are welcome to join in. Having fun and learning a lot go hand in hand. The orchestra is led by qualified teacher\/conductor Claudy van Bokhoven.<\/p>\n

Arti Academy has dozens of performances to its name. Consider the spooky performances during the big Halloween event in Oirschot, the performance at Groot Bijstervelt, and the performances on King's Day.<\/p>\n
